The Rapture of Yukio Murasaki

Marvimon, Los Angeles A one-night collaborative performance and installation developed with Wanda Chan around her invented persona Yukio Murasaki. Chan underwent a sequence of transformations on the forty-foot Secret Restaurant table while the audience occupied a position somewhere between witness, participant and social scenery. The event included costume, mural painting, tequila ritual, music, an edible sculpture and extensive HD documentation. The documentation was treated as integral to the work rather than a secondary record.
